We are looking for a focused, reliable and flexible person to join our distillery operations team, working in all areas of distillery production, including mashing, distillation, bulk spirit collection, raw materials intake and dispatch. It’s essential that you’re a great team player, but also able to work independently. The ability to work calmly in a busy, dynamic and demanding environment is crucial, as is your ability to follow procedures and work accurately. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of health & safety in the workplace. Full training will be provided, and a competitive salary.

Swansea Distillery will open in the summer. (It's opposite the Swansea.com stadium.)

General Cleaning and Maintenance Assistant (applications must be in by the 2nd April 2024)

20 hours part-time.

Job Description:

To perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the distillery building and grounds as well as related work when required.

Key result areas/key tasks/main duties

To perform general cleaning duties, to include: staff and visitor toilets; staff kitchens; Tasting Bar and Masterclass Room; offices; Rolling mill/cask warehouse; internal and external windows; emptying internal bins; hoovering and mopping all areas.

To perform external ground maintenance duties, to include: gardening tasks; maintaining small shrub areas; weeding; raking leaves; litter picking; gritting of carpark and walkways

Maintain cleaning and maintenance records. Maintaining and upkeeping the building and grounds and maintaining and replenishing cleaning stock and equipment.

The above list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to carry out additional duties as required by the Company, such request to carry out additional/alternative duties will be classed as a reasonable management instruction.

Ideally you will have the following skills: outgoing personality with retail customer service experience; computer literacy and a good telephone manner; flexibility with working hours (rota and sickness / holiday cover etc); Welsh/French/German speakers desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided, and a competitive salary. Must be able to work bank holidays and weekends.
