We are again delighted to announce that we have won yet more Gold Awards. This brings us up to 13 Gold Awards across 5 competitions this year. Most recently Myth from our Dragon Range won Gold (Best in Class) at the highly-rated US-based Whiskies of the World Competition 2018 in the Malt Non-Bourbon category. Also at the awards our Gold Range Madeira 46 won Silver Outstanding in the Malt Non-Bourbon category and Celt won Silver in the Malt Peated Medium category.
This is particularly pleasing as we now have 5 expressions available in the US through our importers Impex Beverages of San Francisco. More on the awards here. The results were featured on the Whisky Intelligence website where our bottles were described as having a, ‘sexy new look.’ Ahem…! But it is true. The bottles look fantastic and the whiskies are seducing all who try them for the first time, with reports of a recent whisky show in Dallas where people were queuing five deep at the Penderyn tasting table. This all helps with our mission to take Penderyn to all 50 US states. We’re currently in 26, with another 22 opening up once the paperwork is sorted. Meanwhile in the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial awards, which were held in Bulgaria, we picked up golds in the Europe Premium category for the complete Dragon range: Penderyn Legend, Myth and Celt. Exciting times for Penderyn and all its customers in the US and around the world.
