We are delighted to have our house-style Madeira gain a 94% in the Ultimate Spirits Challenge awards in the USA, which were announced on Monday 12th June 2023. We also gained a Gold Medal for Rich Oak as well, with a mark of 92%.
Madeira was also included in the 'Great Value' category.
*Dr Jim Swan, the late great Scottish whisky expert, was our first Master Distiller, and he said that our world class spirit should be matured in ex-bourbon casks, and then finished in ex-Madeira casks, which was unusual in the early 2000s. He also invented the STR casks (Scraped, Toasted and Recharred ex-European wine casks) which is in our Rich Oak bottles.*
