Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. This page lists every cookie and similar technology used on penderyn.wales and our online shop, so you can decide how to manage them.
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. It uses:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
penderyn:age-confirmed |
Browser storage (localStorage), not a cookie | Remembers that you confirmed you are of legal drinking age, so the age check does not reappear on every page | Until you clear your browser data |
statusToken (staff only) |
Browser storage | Used only by Penderyn staff on internal admin pages | Until cleared |
Visit statistics are collected with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and stores no personal data: it counts page views, referrers, country and device type in aggregate only.
The shop needs a small number of cookies to work:

Shopify's own cookie details are at shopify.com/legal/cookies. Shopify analytics cookies (_shopify_sa_*, _landing_page, _orig_referrer) may be set to help us understand shop performance; they do not identify you personally.
Where you pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay, those providers may set their own cookies under their own policies.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar advertising tags. If we add any, this page will list them and you will be asked for consent before they are set.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; instructions for each browser are at allaboutcookies.org. Blocking the essential shop cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working.
