This whisky is the original Penderyn ‘house style’, aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira wine casks to bring out its full gold character. It is bottled at 46% abv.
Nose: A classic freshness with aromas of cream toffee, rich fruit and raisins.
Palate: Crisp and finely rounded, with the sweetness to balance an appetising dryness.
Finish: Notes of tropical fruit, raisins and vanilla persist.
Balance: Oaky vanilla tones/dry sweetness
Welsh Gold is extremely rare, pure and precious and was worn by legendary Welsh princes. Our Gold Collection reflects those qualities.

Pour all ingredients in whisky tumbler, add ice and stir.
Muddle 3 first ingredients in the bottom of a boston glass. Add the bitters and the whisky; fill with ice and shake for about 10 seconds. Fine strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish.
Shake all ingredients together over ice. Strain into rocks glass filled with ice cubes. Add mint sprig and lemon wedge as garnish.
Place bitters and fig liqueur in an old fashioned glass, add ice and start stirring. Add the Penderyn and stir for about a minute whilst adding more ice. When you achieve the right dilution and balance within the drink, garnish with the slice of apple and serve.

Love love love this product, my favourite Whisky.. My husband and I first tasted this on a tour of the distillery and took a bottle home with us.. it didn’t last very long. We enjoy this straight up as it needs nothing else to appreciate it. We have purchased as gifts for friends and family who also enjoy the Madeira. Will be buying again soon.
